Each year, Redding's budget is made up of three parts: Redding's share of the Region 9 budget which funds Joel Barlow High School, the Redding Board of Education Budget which funds Redding Elementary School and John Read Middle School, and the Selectmen's Budget which funds town services such as the Community Center and Police Department.  The budget also includes debt service on bond issues previously approved by the Town Meeting.
